The most viewed YouTube video, is also the most liked video on YouTube. It has over 6.5 billion views, 35 million likes and over 4.3 million dislikes.
YouTube has gotten a bit of a bad reputation over the years, people claim it mostly promotes fluff content like nonsensical videos – (from PewDiePie, as well as from Logan and Jake Paul) – and help them go viral…
But the truth is…YouTube does not play favorites nor does it dumb down society, the majority of what’s on YouTube is a direct representation of the western world’s inner thoughts, tastes and preferences.
If a lot of dumb videos go viral, it’s not YouTube’s fault…it’s the people that are watching and liking these videos.
YouTube is just an algorithm that gives people what they truly want to watch…as simple as that.
The most popular YouTube videos still remain music related – this is why Vevo is the most viewed YouTube channel.
